According to Fox News, Trump has been nominated by members of the Norwegian parliament for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. The reason is to be involved in mediating the normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
A few weeks after helping Israel and the UAE reach a peace agreement, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, wrote to the Nobel Committee to nominate Trump as a candidate for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Fox said that Christian praised Trump’s efforts to resolve the long-running global conflict.
“Given his achievements, I think he has done more than most peace prize nominees have done to achieve peace between nations.” Christian, who currently chairs the Norwegian delegation to the NATO parliamentary assembly, said in an exclusive interview with Fox.
It is worth noting that, according to previous reports by the US VOX News Network, as early as June 2018, after the “Gold Conference”, Trump was nominated as a Nobel Peace Prize candidate by the aforementioned Norwegian congressman. The difference is that it was nominated by Christian and another Norwegian MP. In May of the same year, Trump was nominated as a Nobel Peace Prize candidate by dozens of Republican congressmen.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee usually provides thousands of people around the world, including parliamentarians, government ministers, and university professors, with the opportunity to nominate individuals or organizations for the Nobel Peace Prize, and the identity of the nominees is usually kept secret.
